Originally was drawn to architecture, but went to business school and found real estate a close second, with greater income opportunity.

Liked the concept of ownership in a local firm, with the ability to service clients outside of my local market.

How has being part of NAI Global impacted your business and your ability to become a top-producer?

NAI provides name recognition and an ability to assist my clients with needs, wherever they might be.

Do you make it an annual goal to become one of the top 10 producers in a global company? If yes, why? If no, what are your goals?  

I make it a goal to be a top producer in our local company. We have many strong producers that hit 7 figures most year, so being a top producer locally can lead to greater recognition at the NAI Global level.

What is the biggest commercial real estate challenge you’re currently seeing in your local market?

Being in Houston, TX, right now there is a long list. We have a significant oversupply of office space and a very slowly recovering energy business. Those two things generally do not bode well for commercial real estate markets in Houston. However, I have several clients that are currently expanding some of which are in the energy sector. It is always a challenge when the market is slow as clients tend to take a long time to make decisions.

How is your brokerage setting itself apart from its competitors? Or, how is being part of NAI setting yourself apart from your competitors?  

The old saying in real estate of location, location, location holds true but so does, relationships, relationships, relationships. 

What is the most enjoyable part of your job?

Working with people I trying enjoy being around.

If you had one piece of advice that you could give to aspiring brokers, what would it be?

Focus on the fundamentals, find a good mentor and work harder than your peers. Success will come.
