How long have you been in Commercial Real Estate?

25 Years

What made you go into the field?

From an early age I have always had an passion and admiration of real estate

When did you become part of NAI Global?

1995

If you are a broker, why did you choose to join an NAI office?

I wanted to be part of a firm that has a strong local presence. Where key decisions were made by the teams in the office who have a handle on local market conditions, I also wanted to have access to reach a larger global network and audience for my clients. NAI Global gave me that “best of both world scenario.”

How has being part of NAI Global impacted your business and your ability to become a top-producer?

While my business is primarily local; being a member of the NAI Global network allows me to take my client’s product to a larger audience which means greater exposure and more interest in their asset.

Do you make it an annual goal to become one of the top 10 producers in a global company? If yes, why? If no, what are your goals?

My goals quite simply are to provide the highest level of service to my clients. To market the properties to the best of my ability and sell them for top dollar. If I do my job well ; I will, some years, be a top producer

What is the biggest commercial real estate challenge you’re currently seeing in your local market?

Sourcing product ; owners are reluctant to sell unless they can find a suitable replacement property (catch 22)

How is your brokerage setting itself apart from its competitors? Or, how is being part of NAI setting yourself apart from your competitors?

With all the merger and acquisitions that have happened in the commercial real estate markets over the past 12-24 months I think one of the bigger values we offer at NAI Hunneman is stability. We are one of the few remaining independently owned and operated brokerage firms in Boston. Our clients know they get the highest level of personal service and a principal broker on every deal ; also clients know that because of our affiliation with NAI Global we are connected to one of the world’s largest real estate networks to showcase their properties.

What is the most enjoyable part of your job?

Offering clients a superior service ; knowing that after the sale the client would use us again and recommend us

If you had one piece of advice that you could give to aspiring brokers, what would it be?

Be tenacious but genuine ; first and foremost look at the assignment as a service to the client ; spend time every workday trying to source new clients (spend minimum 1-hour doing this each day)
